A little of what we used to call perspective.
A while back there were several blogs along the lines of defining good and bad Christians. I kind of like the idea of “bad Christian, no wafer for you.” It makes me laugh, a bit like “bad cop, no donut.”
I don’t believe it however, there’s really no such thing as a “bad” or a “good” Christian, because people are not saved because of their badness or goodness, they’re saved by grace. It’s not about who you are, it’s about who He is. People are saved in spite of themselves, not because of themselves.
There are however different levels of faith, different degrees of wisdom, and Christians in various states of disrepair at various times. That’s who we are, we’re people, flawed, imperfect, attempting to walk as little Christs, doing our best to reflect Who we belong to and what He asks of us.
